Privacy notice

This site belongs to Chris Jones. It is kept small on purpose: no tracking, no adverts and no cookies. Last updated 9 October 2026.

What we collect and why

If you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use them only to read and reply to your message. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked to get in touch and we need your details to answer.

We do not sell your details, add you to a mailing list or share them with anyone except the service that runs the form.

Who handles it

The site and the form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes the data on our behalf and may store it outside the UK, including in the United States, under the safeguards in its data processing terms. Form messages are forwarded to Chris by email. Like any web host, Netlify keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the site.

How long we keep it

Form messages are deleted within 12 months, sooner if you ask.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The kicking game remembers your best score in your own browser so it can show it next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Fonts, photos and videos are all served from this site, not from third parties. Links to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, BBC Sport and the podcast apps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, or object to how we use them. Send a request through the contact form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
